Neuzeit - I Heart Sharks
Happy fuckin’ Daylight Savings Time day. I’m going to be loving all up on that extra hour of sleep tonight but first I’ll be tapping my feet and groovin’ to some I Heart Sharks. I figured I’d share some of that magic with you guys this evening/morning. If you’re a fan of Foals you’re guaranteed to LOVE these German boys. Their newest album Summer was just released and it’s a damn gem to say the least (I didn’t mean to be a cheesy rhyming character there). It’s filled with dancey little numbers that’ll have you loving every second of this album. “Neuzeit” is a personal favorite of mine so listen up and hope you love it as much as I do!

Wolf - Trophy Wife
Music videos are something we all have been paying less and less attention to. Whether it be because TV stations feel it’s not worth playing any anymore, or just because we’re simply in it for the sounds and not the visual. Either way, sometimes you just can’t deny an ace music video. “Wolf” happens to be one of those gems that everyone should check out. It’s already a dark and beautiful track but add on this brightly pink covered wall video, it’s a recipe for success. It gets a little dirty, a tiny bit random, and I can’t seem to keep my eyes off of it. The absurd idea came from the man himself Yannis Philippakis of Foals, so it all makes sense as to why such a masterpiece has been created. So whether it be that you like well done music videos, wonderful songs or just love yourself some Yannis, this music video is worth checking out.

Shutterbug in Miami - Foals/Big Boi made by The Hood Internet
Anyone else up in here love mashups as much as I do? Well, regardless of that… this is honestly one of my favorite mashups I’ve ever heard. First of all, I’m already damn obsessed with Foals but now you’re putting Big Boi rhymes on top of their amazing music? I heard this and my heart exploded into pieces because I was so in love with how this mashup turned out. The Hood Internet are the creators of this masterpiece and they have a hell of a lot of other fabulous mashups in their hands, so I highly suggest you take a look at their collection. You will definitely find something you love.

The Greeks - Is Tropical
Is Tropical have a new album called Native To, and it’s definitely had an impression on me to say the least. Especially “The Greeks”, which is by far my favorite track on the album. When I heard it, which was the first song I had infact heard, I immediately felt like I was hearing a dancier version of Foals. Hell, if a band has some of the elements of Foals then they’re an absolutely winner in my eyes and I think many of you out there would agree on that one! So if that has triggered your interest, I suggest you give Is Tropical a listen and see what you think!

Amstrad Lions - Minnaars
Minnaars are a band that I think will take off in no time, granted I say that about a good handful of artists but hell I can’t help all the great music out there. Anyway, if you’re a fan of Foals, I’d suggest these boys to you. Although it’s not exactly like Foals per say, it’s definitely got that same vibe. It’s energetic alternative music with it’s own unique flare and raw sound that’s simply too good to not like. Their newest EP Ideal & Error just came out and it’s got 4 solid tracks that’ll get you very interested in what may come next with this band. They seem to be touring the UK a bit at the moment, so all you UKers out there should see them, considering the fact that Minnaars is bound to put on a show basing it off their material alone. If not, just take a listen to that new EP and see what you think!
