So I wasn’t going to do this but I figured it’s always nice sharing on here what we’re all listening to so here goes nothing! I’ve got my top 11 (just couldn’t bring myself to do 10) favorite albums of the year with brief little snippets on why I chose each one. Stay tuned for everyone else’s picks!
Video Games (Lana Del Rey cover) - Bombay Bicycle Club with Lucy Rose
Talk about a hauntingly beautiful cover to start your Tuesday morning out. I’m fond of Lana Del Rey to begin with but BBC may have just taken her song “Video Games” and made it even better. It’s gorgeous and that’s all I’ve really got to say. If you like BBC or Lana Del Rey you’ll definitely appreciate this gem.

Lights Out Words Gone (Dark Sky Remix) - Bombay Bicycle Club
If you don’t already adore Bombay Bicycle Club, then I’m not what to tell you except to wake up and listen to the beautiful music you’re missing. Tonight although I don’t exactly have a new artist or new song to show you all, I figured I’d bring you a beautiful and haunting remix of a great BBC song from their newest record. If you’re currently studying or just laying back in bed needing something to sooth your ears, turn this bad boy on and you’ll fall in love with it. It’s a remix you simply need in your collection, so here I am bringing it to you all.

If you know me at all, you know I have an extreme love for this band. They’re definitely one of my favorites and I adore them to death to put it simply. Everything they’ve created has been beautiful music to my ears. Ever since I heard their first demos a few years ago, I knew this would be a wonderful musical love of mine. Well now they’ve got a new album out called A Different Kind of Fix , and it happens to be right on spotify to listen in the link I’ve posted . So check that out because it’s nothing short of incredible, as usual. If you have yet to fall into the BBC love spell, get to it because you may just have a new favorite band.

Shuffle (Bibio Remix) - Bombay Bicycle Club
Before I head out on my trip tomorrow for the rest of the week, I figured I’d post a track that I love. We don’t just have a track I love here, but the track I love remixed in such a wonderful way. This Bibio remix of BBC’s “Shuffle” has a whole new feel from the original. It’s haunting, dark, yet the same song just flipped and reversed a bit. I love both versions but this one definitely is something special. It’s a little twisted even, but hell I like it that way. So enjoy this incredible remix and I’ll be back with more tunes next week! (The other members will be sure to hold you over with fabulous musicial finds though)
